This tour includes five to six days. Best time for the trek is May-June-July and September-October. This trek that leads to the high-glaciated lake is not to be confused with The Lake of the Moon (Chandertal - in the Spiti region).

This trek leads out of the tiny village of Khanul , a little distance away from Manali and climbs steadily through evergreen forests and meadows, alongside numerous streams. An easy trek with some of the most beautiful walks in Manali region unfolds the most magnificent mountains capes.

The journey starts from Manali to Jagatsukh to Khanul (2,020 meters) (6 km motorable and 4 km trek) A six km motorable road leads to the village of Jagatsukh after which the trail winds upwards alongside the Bahangan Nullah from Khanul which is the first days camp ends at Bhanara village.
