Nagarjunasagr Wildlife Sanctuary

The Nagarjunasagar Wildlife Sanctuary has also been one of the largest wildlife habitations in the country. With an area of 356,000 hectares and sprawling over five districts of central Andhra Pradesh, the Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) is the largest tiger reserve in the country.
Srisailam Sanctuary
It spans about 3568-sq-kms in area.The Nagarjunasagar - Srisailam Sanctuary is located in Guntur, Prakasam, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar and Nalgonda districts, at a distance of 29-km from Macherla and about 150-km from Hyderabad. The terrain is rugged and winding gorges slice through the Mallamalai hills. Adjoining the reserve is the large reservoir of the Nagarjunasagar Dam on the River Krishna.
Kinnerasani Sanctuary
Kinnerasani Sanctuary lies in the Khammam district near Paloncha. It is spread over an area of 655.41 sq km. The sanctuary represents dry deciduous mixed type forests with teak, bamboo and terminalis and the picturesque Kinnerasani reservoir.
